About bmd-developer

This list is designed for technical questions regarding technologies used by Blackmagic Design, eg DirectShow, QuickTime, codecs, API's, SDK's, Premiere Pro, etc. It is meant as a forum where developers can discuss both ideas and problems with other developers. Anyone may reply and the Blackmagic Design engineers may also respond when appropriate.

This list will often be a better place to post questions of a developmental or highly technical nature about how things work.

Please subscribe from a fairly permanent email address as we do not allow subscription requests from disposable addresses, eg Hotmail and Yahoo.

Subscribing to bmd-developer

Subscribe to bmd-developer by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list administrator. You will be notified of the administrator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the members list is available only to the list administrator.

    You must enter a privacy password. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
